In isolating singular actions—praying, eating, washing—my work deconstructs inherited gestures. Drawn to the relationship between lineage and land, it traces how traditions settle into form; the human body becomes a site of performance and observation.
Everyday objects carry a sense of intimacy, functioning as conduits for communication. These materials meet and respond to one another, shifting their original conditions. Tactility softens into ephemerality, matter yields to the intangible, and time, too, becomes material.
By stepping back as the primary activator, I shift attention away from control and toward the agency of objects, creating space to witness what emerges without intervention. My work honors embodied rituals of human and artistic labor, reinterpreting them through contemporary forms, emphasizing the continuity of craft as both live and conceptual practice.
